Watch Israel flout UN resolutions once again. Absolutely shameful by the US. It is appalling and disgusting how the deaths of 35000 people still does not sway the US to vote in favour of a resolution calling for a ceasefire.

The use forced the change of the word 'permanent' to 'lasting' ceasefire, which means its a 2 week ceasefire.
But this marks the first time that the US has allowed a resolution against Israel to pass at the UNSC, which is momentous in of itself.

What is a 2 week ceasefire going to do lol. Everything the US does is absolutely meaningless nonsense. It will be a long time before Palestinians see any justice.

We'll see.
I expect it'll take more than two weeks to plan and start implementing hostage releases.
And if aid and the press gets into Gaza its going to make restarting it harder.
Netanyahu's only plan is to attack Rafah, where 1.5 million refugees are sheltering and which he has zero support for doing.
Its a big question whether Netanyahu can play this one like he did the previous temporary truce.

Its not a permanent ceasefire and its way too late but its something.

Here's the nitty gritty of behind the scenes and how US finally caved with a huff.

The UNSC seriously needs to be expanded. It is ridiculous how ineffective the UN is because of the UNSC.

They have already been denied justice for many years, at least since 1967, so it's a surprise?

Odds of Hamas listening to the UNSC and "immediately and unconditionally" releasing all their hostages? 0%
Odds of Frank caring about Hamas not complying? 0%

It would not take 2 weeks for Hamas to release the hostages. It would take less than a day as all they need to do is send out and order and tell Israel when they can expect the release. The only cases it would take longer is for the hostages in such poor heath condition.

Isn't that exactly what the UNSC demanded?
They demanded a ceasefire. Along with hostage release of course. But they demanded a ceasefire which my quote shows that Israel won't abide. Are you going to be disingenuous and lie that Israel is playing by the rules?

Israel has 7000 Palestinian hostages.
How long will it take them to be released?

Israel is not abiding by the ICJ Genocide ruling, they are now not abiding by the UNSC ceasefire call.
