Well it is Sept 2nd and my phone still works. The main thing was that I have a recent sim that can connect to 4g.

From what I gather. Once the 3G network goes offline, there is no 2G network to fall back on as that was also probably retired a while a go. If you really need to keep the phone number then consider either Freedom's $99 or $129 pay as you go plan. Or check out Koodoo $100 pay as you go.

None. Speakout Wireless is the only company that does pay-as-you-go with 365 days rollovers.

Hey everyone check out this thread. It has a lot of good information. According to the responses you don't need to switch service providers as long as you have a 4G LTE compliant phone. Some of the responses also mention you will be fine even with a 4G VolTE compliant phone. See screen shots.
