I watched Caitlin Clark's first game in the WNBA tonight, based on the hype about her. Her team lost 92 to 71.
Caitlin struggled at the start, committed a lot of turnovers, but then picked it up to be her team's high scorer at 20 points for the game.
That said there is no comparison at all between watching the NBA games vs. the WNBA games. I won't be watching another WNBA game. Tonight's game was a snooze fest.
I read somewhere that the average first year salary for a new NBA player is $1,000,000. Caitlin's first year salary is $76,500. Thank goodness for the big money she'll make from endorsements, etc.

The Toronto Jam is actually a pretty good name.
Their biggest source of revenue could be selling preserves. What flavour, Cherry? Or is it too late for that? Broken Cherry Jam. It can come in cracked jars.
After the novelty wears off the fans will stay away in droves other than tickets that are comped.
