Catholics, Hindus, protestants etc. do not have the right of return to Israel. Try again.
You are wrong. There are Catholic Palestinians who were expelled who have the right of return. As a matter of fact, anyone who lived there and was expelled by the Israeli's has the right of return - regardless of ethnicity or religion.

It seems the concept of universal human rights is not something you are comfortable with. But, that's zionist training for you.

Practically and pragmatically speaking any resolution to the conflict is going to have to satisfy all sides, and all those different events are fundamentally related.
Unless you intend on using Palestinians as bargaining chips, there is no relationship. Palestinians who were expelled owe no debt to Israel for what happened in other countries. It's patently absurd.

I didn't say that the Palestinians who were expelled owe anybody anything. I said that it's not practical to talk about a resolution unless it is a comprehensive resolution that works for everyone.

Saying that refugees flowing in one direction are unrelated to refugees flowing in the other direction is idiotic, by the way. All those events are chained together in a tit-for-tat escalation of hostilities that ended up in territorial war and ethnic cleansing by all sides, including, for example, by the Jordanians.

In any case peace and reconciliation has to be an all-around-the-table thing for it to have any practical hope of success, in this conflict, or in any other conflict.

The real issue isnt the right of return of Palestinians, thats merely symbolic. The real one is compensation and the recognition that Israel in its creation did create hardship for the Arabs in what they term the "nakba" of course the Iraqis, Egyptians etc did the same to their Jewish population as payback while using the Palestinians for their own ends. I know many Palestinians and every single one I have asked whether they would accept compensation or the exact house their grandfather left in Israel in 1948, almost every single one answered something close to "why the hell would I want to live in a foreign country, give me the money please".

Israel, the Arab nations and the rest of the world needs to acknowledge the suffering of the Palestinians, give them a proper state on the border that was there on the morning of June 4, 1967 with a shared Jerusalem, in return the Israelis would get recognition and guaranteed security through an international force that could secure the border between the 2 states. The big sticking point is what do you do with 400 thousand nut job settlers who would go mashuga and attack Palestinians and probably the Israeli army that was sent to protect them?

Israel has always talked about compensation and this has been rejected by the Palestinians. they insist on the right of return which will never happen. hence the roadblock to peace. Virtually all of the other issue are capable of resolution. that one is insoluble.

I think everyone is aware of Israel's racist laws. Those are racist laws designed to prevent the return of expelled citizens because of their religion. It's institutionalized racism.
South Africa also had laws that enforced Apartheid. Making it a law does not make any less racist or illegal.

You can choose peace or you can choose ethnic supremacy. South Africa made the choice for peace. When will Israel?
The parallels is absurd and you simply betray your ignorance of facts. history and logic in attempting to draw same. The children and grandchildren of Palestinians who left Israel regardless of the reason were not expelled. They were not born at the time and have never lived in Israel. The Palestinians who left regardless of the reason did not do so because of their religion. Millions of Christians and Muslims live in peace in Israel. You simply chose to ignore that fact because it is inconvenient to acknowledge that.

Hopefully the every day Palestinian will get through to their leadership that they desire peace and compensation, not the continuation of conflict and a goal that will never happen (my impression is that the Palestinian leadership who have the most to gain from continued conflict use it as a tactic since they know Israel will never agree)

The big sticking point is what do you do with 400 thousand nut job settlers who would go mashuga and attack Palestinians and probably the Israeli army that was sent to protect them?
probably the same thing you would do with the similar number of Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade (Fatah), Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas) and other Palestinian nutjobs who see violence is a way to cleanse Palestine of Jews.

Both sides have their share of nuts. Both sides have their share of politicians happy to continue the conflict.

Not insoluble at all if Israel abandons the racist refusal to let the original inhabitants back to the homes and property they own. That's consistent with universal human rights. It's consistent with Canadian values which it seems you don't share but like to benefit from. The problem would be solved if Israel adopted normal Western values.

It's the values of zionism that blocks the solution.

If you are not allowed to return to your land and your home, you've been expelled.

The original inhabitants are not the issue and Israel has never made them so. I suspect you are being disingenuous. Who do you consider and original inhabitant?

The people who were living there and were expelled in 48 and 67.

As a tidbit, Yitzak Rabin was one of those who carried out the expulsions while serving in the military.

So...are you suffering from the dumbing down effects of zionism and unable to tell me source of the quote in the original post? Or are you just getting a case of zionist jitters? Does telling the truth make you feel like a moser?

I really don't care about the source of the quote in the original post or to play your game. The fact that you may have been able to find a quote by someone and to attempt to use it to advance your ant-Semitic agenda is really of no consequence. Fortunately for you the other posters here have not sunken to your level and started posting the atrocities committed by Palestinians and Arabs.

That has never been an issue. That was offered in principal to Arafat and rejected in favor of the demand for the general right of return which will never be acceptable.

In other words, you're scared to answer the question. Doesn't surprise me. Zionists are not very brave.

You have no qualms about blocking people from returning to their homes because of their religion but you can't muster the simple courage to answer a question.

Does any zionist out there have the courage to answer?

Also...do you believe that Yitzhak Rabin force marched thousands of Palestinians to expulsion?

Do you think that jews ever used synagogues to hide weapons?

One can't be a zionist and be intellectually brave. That's a contradiction in terms.

Gee. I am a proud Zionist and according to you I am not only not very bright ( see previous posts) and now I am a coward because i will not play your silly game. Perhaps you could illuminate us all by pointing to examples of Palestinian scholarship and achievement which must according to you dwarf those of the Zionists and Jews and of the great courage of the Palestinian people. While I do not doubt the intelligence and bravery of the Palestinian people the tactics if their leaders which for so many years has deprived the Palestinian people of a sovereign homeland and peace. prosperity and security. i will not get into your intellectual dishonesty as I am tired of repeating myself. suffice to say your cowardice in refusing to answer very simple and unambiguous questions about your beliefs betray both your intellectual bankruptcy and you intellectual and moral cowardice.

That's quite a tap dance for such a simple question. Like Shakespeare said.."Me Thinks You Doth Protest Too Much"

There's nothing silly about critically examining the foundations of zionist positions and this quote goes to the heart of many stated positions that you parrot. Since you are such a fervent acolyte, I would think you'd welcome the opportunity to strut your stuff.

But you run like a silly school girl from the simplest of challenges. Hardly intelligent and hardly courageous. We are all watching.

Typically for you, you simply sidestep the issue. I will answer your question when you answer the several questions that have been put to you. How about that Mr superior anti-Zionist intellectual?

And by the way I know the answer, however I will not give you the satisfaction unless or until you answer the questions that have been put to you.

And as far as watching you may wish to read the other threads. The biggest debate on this board seems to be whether you are intellectually impaired or on drugs. I voted for the former.

More antisemitic bullshit from the most irelevant poster on thisH board.
My,my.....that has a note of desperation to it. Sounds like you also know that the correct answer exposes the pious hypocricy of zionists.
