Conservative Myths: Why are conservatives always proven wrong?

I think conservatives by their very nature resist any change which is how successful societies progress. When I was in school, I thought when my generation grew up, religious and sexual suppression would be things of the past. Now I find most of these friends have changed and the root of it seems to be a longing to be back in the good old days. It's not that those days were ideal - I think that they figure if they turned back the clock or resisted the change, they wouldn't feel so out of place.

I fixed your post.
:baby:
I fixed your fixed post of my fixed post about fixing posts (without derogatory 'asshole' comments that are against posting rule #5). I don't mind - tact is a gift that we all do not possess.

That explains a lot for you and Robbie both.
As a more left leaning person, I'm much happier now and have a good social scene and work situation and realize the importance of community health to my own wellbeing.

Probably the major crime conservatives are guilty of these days is support for anti-climate change propaganda in the name of open markets.
Climate change is going to the major story in the world very soon, even this year extreme weather has been devastating.
But food shortages and disasters are going to be daily news while the fossil fuel lobby does its continual tobacco type lobbying.
Um, did you notice the part where it's not getting any warmer, despite what your beloved 'models' said? And 'extreme weather' is a myth...

So you're buying the propaganda that conservatives and the fossil fuel industry bought for $1 billion annually?

99% of scientists say otherwise, and in fact, 2013 was the 4th warmest year on record according to the NOAA NCDC.
You bought their lies.

Only if you're looking at the short term record., but if one looks further than your nose it certainly is getting warmer.

I've posted this link before, but it's more than a bit difficult to believe the BBC is part of a "vast, right-wing conspiracy":

As for the statement about healthy skepticism being a "crime," it's sad in this day and age that anyone would say such a thing.

Climate change skeptics are either tin foil hat types or Ezra Levant types giving Big Oil CEOs a daily bj.

That's pretty funny coming from the guy who thinks Germany is reducing its man-made carbon dioxide emissions by increasing its use of coal plants. :D

I suspect you know even less about science than your demonstrated ignorance of basic economics.

You can developed a basis of temperature records with out the actual use of thermometers. It not hard; proxy data collected using ice cores, tree rings, fossil records, lake sediments, coral growths, pollen which as a group can record the temperatures in an area to an amazing degree. Looking at ice cores, temperature records can be a established back almost 800,000 years. Geological records, such as sedimentary cores can establish temperature records back over several millions of years. Over the years, the technology and techniques have improved exponentially and the accuracy improves along the way.

Now we know that you're just trolling. I think it's time the TERB collective puts you on the shelf.
You don't do anything but troll ever. No value-added from you whatsoever.

I agree,...but this would high light the fact that it has been MUCH warmer in Canada,...than it has been for 100's of years.

Bear in mind,...I'll be the 1st to say that pollution had gotten way out of hand,...and something had to be done,...absolutely disgusting.

But I,...who am I,...nobody,...I still wonder if this temperature trend/climate change,...what ever the hell we are calling it today,...that we are going thru, can't possibly explained in other ways,...

In the big picture,...we have only been looking at this for a VERY short period of time,...considering 800,000 years is a BIG number, compared to 100.

Don't mean to restart this climate change thing again,...just how I view the issue.

I would have thought people were measured here by the quality of their contribution which would make you dead last behind even Larue in terms of knowledge and contribution. On a bad day even FAST makes more sense than you.

'If' you are talking to me, I'm not too worried, considering the source, but we all know you're too busy to give a shit.
