Justin's getting high fives in the clubhouse tonight!Hey... it's Justin Verlander!
I have no clue who any of these people are. I must be getting old.
Good luck getting damages from the hackers, most of whom are fly by night and without significant assets, I would guess.Already an FBI investigation and several victims have stated that they will pursue civil actions.
Apparently a time consuming and deliberate icloud security breach, a real black eye for Apple.
I suspect they will go after the sites posting the photos (although possibly also Apple), as to the hackers the vengeance angle more than anything else. The real bite comes on the criminal side, one recent celebrity photo hacker got ten years courtesy of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.Good luck getting damages from the hackers, most of whom are fly by night and without significant assets, I would guess.
Possibly a negligence suit against Apple. But there again, if Apple is using state of the art technology where is the failure to exercise due diligence?
That would be settled out of court faster than you can say JLaw

Everybody now, business or private person, should know that anything posted to the cloud is potentially public. If somebody wants to spend the time and effort, he/she can get it, and I am not only talking about the NSA.Apparently a time consuming and deliberate icloud security breach, a real black eye for Apple.
Exactly. But these are 20-something celebs. Not what they're in their lives by being overly cerebral.Everybody now, business or private person, should know that anything posted to the cloud is potentially public. I doubt that the sites are any more solvent than the hackers. The more reputable sites would rely on due diligence defences, I am guessing.I suspect it's it's sites posting the photos, as to the hackers the vengeance angle more than anything else.
