I say:
1-good paying job
2- roof over your head
3-no debt
With those 3 things you can pretty much get whatever you need in life.

I agree.
I was never as unhappy as when I was married.
I'd much rather be lonely once in a while than miserable all the time.
If I'm lonely I can go out, meet some people, have a drink, partake in an activity I enjoy even if it's only mowing the lawn.
Married miserable is 24/7.
