Some peace treaties work, some don't.

The Egypt-Israel peace treaty still seems to be working. Too bad Sadat was killed by fellow countrymen who didn't want peace.

Mr. Peres' funeral will be well attended. They include 3 Canadian Prime Ministers and President Obama. President Clinton paid his respects yesterday. In a somewhat surprising move, Mahmoud Abbas said he will also attend.

In his 93 years, Mr. Peres went from terrorist to architect of a peace agreement to senior statesman. What an amazing life! Rest in peace.
