That's what they said when she grabbed her pussy while singing the national anthem at the ball game, too. Disclosure- never seen one episode of her show. Anyway, 10-20 years ago name calling was a really big deal. These days it's the regular, everyday occurrence. The ABC might have overreacted.

You were right the 1st time.
It wasn't a joke, the woman has a history of bigoted, racist tweets & comments. It's who she is. A racist.

I loved her show and I don't believe she's a flat out racist. Rosanne is bi polar, she revealed on the Howard Stern show that she takes Cymbalta for her condition. She's more self destructive than she is racist.

Roseanne is a comedian and as far I know has always been one. I have never seen any TV shows or movies she has been in but I have heard some funny lines from clips.
Comedy has always given a wider berth to "freedom of speech" and without that tolerance there never would have been George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor,Eddie Murphy,Chris Rock etc etc etc.

Roseanne is not on the same level as the above IMO and I'm not a fan, but there shouldn't be a double standard

If they canned her ass this quickly, I am guessing that she was not exactly a raging financial success, as well as often being embarrassing.

I have a dear friend who is bi-polar but that's never made him dabble in conspiracy theories and racist behavior. I think there is something more going on with Rosanne and agree she is completely self destructive.

It's not the first time the aesthetically challenged resort to calling black women ugly and apes. Those attacks on Michelle Obama by the beauty queens (yes, sarcasm) were the most recent vintage. I read somewhere that one of them got their job back.

BTW, remember how you guys Libs criticized us for taking issue with Michelle Wolf's remarks about Sarah Huckabee's appearance, and how we should just take a joke. Isnt this the same, Barr poking fun at someones appearance??
