Better these "funny moments" than a president who's covid plan was not to have a plan.

Waste of time. This is not a serious impeachment trial. There is no law at play here. Who cares what the procedure will be? If only 5 GOP Senators thought it was constitutional to hold the trial at all, how many are going to vote to impeach? Answer - less than 17. Acquittal number 2.

Your powers of prediction suck.

The dems could use this just for discovery and watch Trump and the GOP dig themselves deeper in the hole about the coup.

You mean that the GOP senators who voted against did so after giving the matter careful constitutional thought?

You're off to a good start already and I look forward to your analysis as the trial gets underway, Dutch.

If the GOP votes to derail the impeachment on "constitutional grounds", they're going to look shit awful to most non hardcore Republican American voters. Most of America wants Trump denounced and ass kicked. So the Dems win either way. The Dems will use this to brand the GOP as "the party of the traitor Trump" and they'll ride that all the way to 2024.

It doesn't really matter if Trump is impeached or even banned from running for office. He'll lose in 2024, just like he lost in 2020. He's a divisive figure and more dislike him that like him. These %'s are hard-baked in and that's a guaranteed loss. If he was barred, he'd still swagger around on the sidelines, push forward Ivanka or other half-wits like Jordan, Nunes or Gaetz for high profile positions. He'd play "the king in exile" and milk it without actually having to step up to the plate and run for office.

Every fucking Dem campaign ad in 2024 is going to feature the Capitol being stormed w Trump speeching in the background and the caption "party of traitors" flashing underneath.

Biden has already topped Trump's highest popularity numbers.
If Trump stays around its the best for the dems, he'll just split republicans and guarantee another dem win.
If the GOP don't impeach and let him run again, its great.

Your question makes no sense. It took seconds, rather than hours to watch the video in question. Biden doesn't do all that much talking in front of the press, so it's not hard to keep up. It wasn't difficult to tell what he was thinking here, because the problem was that he wasn't thinking.

Because Biden's cognitive abilities have significantly deteriorated (and he wasn't all that bright before), I'm sure there are going to be ample incidents just like this one over the 4 years (or less) he is president. Stay tuned!

You wanted Biden, so you should be happy. Isn't this what you expected?
Only you can prevent Biden Derangement Syndrome ...... covfefe

How many of your lefties on here stood up and called out Justin for ethics violations or lately for his screw up of hiring Payette?

Your post reeks of left wing virtue signaling at it's finest.
Glad you ask. Trudeau's ethics are very problematic. Even if they're small violations, they are still violations. After the first one, he should have tightened up his shit and not make the same fucking mistake again. And again. If there was a competent PC leader, I would support them. I didn't trust Harper when we was first elected, especially the way he fucked around when he had a minority government, but he was a pretty damn good PM.

As for Payette...WTF was he thinking? I honestly don't understand why you would do this, especially when it had a huge likelihood of biting him in the ass.

So, no, I lean left, but I'm not afraid to shit on the Liberals or NDP for their cock ups. The bottom line for me is they do the job the were elected for, and not violate ethical norms. The right-wing media here are similar to the US, where they take and torque stories to up the outrage. I'm not a fan of that, even when left-wing sources do that.

Remember trump was individual 1 in a crime that sent his lawyer to gaol, and obstructed justice according to Mueller ("If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so' · 'Charging the president with a crime was ... not an option we could consider'.). No impeachment for any of that. Clinton may have obstructed justice on a personal matter and got impeached.

Trump was the wrong guy with the right policies. Biden was going to be the president with the wrong policies but the right guy. Turns out he's not the right guy either.

Sure, Trump was supporting white nationalism. You like that.
