The cops are under discipline for not reporting their use of force and the SIU hasn't released the cause of death. All that is public right now is the police weren't on duty, chased and tackled the guy, then he died.
The cops were outside their jurisdiction and had nothing to do with the job. They got upset that they were scammed and felt justified in chasing the guy down then ran away after other people showed up.

I bet he died from brain injuries after being kicked to the head by the 2 cops ...
His mother told the network on Thursday that Facey was a “kind and loving young man”. Must have been during the times he wasn't trying to scam people.
I’m cops mom would say they were kind and loving men to… when they are not killing someone.
Something tells me the cops' mothers would be okay with them chasing down someone and tackling them for trying to rip them off.
What about killing someone for a fake watch? Would that cop’s mom be okay with taking a life for a lousy watch? My understanding is that we do not condone vigilante activity in Canada.
Let’s see what caused the young man’s death, and then we can comment on the appropriateness of the off-duty cops’ actions.
Call me crazy, but I need more details before I pass judgement on the two off-duty Cops.

Yeah it sucks. But violence is not the answer to anything. It's lose lose.
Now the cop are in trouble. They will lose a high paying jobs which you can retire after only 25 years and enjoy the rest of your life with a big rent.
A rent the equivalent of a few watch per week...
Reminds me of an incident I had the other day, I saw an SP ad that looked hot but when I showed up I realized it was a bait and switch so I was morally bound to beat her to death right then and there. I later asked my mom if what I did was wrong and she said I was in the right.
Until the cause of death is determined they can’t be charged for murder.
That’s nasty but not impossible, unfortunately… a dentist around the corner was getting excited…
