Israel only has 7 million people. It cannot assimilate 2 million Gazans. I dont see it being proposed by anyone. Palestinians propose to kill Israelis and take all israel. That I hear loud and clear.
THere is a land sea and air blockade on Gaza, even the effin tooth fairy could not get through.
Exactly what they should have done way back when Hamas and Palestinians sewered peace and the Oslo accords. Nor gently.
Whatever has transpired since, is on Palestinians. And whatever happens over the next bit, is also on them. Including should it escalate.
Not surprised at all. Said as much at the beginning in the “Is Russia involved” thread. Anything they can do, to force the US to focus more on the Mid East, and they certainly will. Instability there…Oil, oil prices, economies and inflation..As is
Oil futures are up 4% ( though might be seasonal). and depends which delivery dates ( next spring or summer)

One key potential take away
Puts more strain on the USs bank accounts, and potentially gets the US involved there should it escalate. Take it another step. Is there anything to gain for Syria or Iran, if they do the same, drag the west into it? and ultimately help Russia out?
“Who knows”…how it’s going to play out.
Am also guessing, like Covid none of the experts in the Ukraine/Russia war threads saw this coming or considered it.

Israel Losing its Value as an Ally
Further evidence, the need of the US and UK to send naval forces to shore up an incompetent Israel. Saudi Arabia has stepped normalization talks. This has been a staggering defeat. Israel will only compound its decline with the slaughter of Palestinian civilians they plan on inflicting.

When has Israel‘s value to the West, ever been about protecting their oil interest in the Mid East. When has Isreal other than maybe intelligence been a factor in military operations with US or the same/similar..Desert Storm…Saddam and weapons of MD? Afghanistan and many more?
