Nobody says Jews are angels...but they have always been the receiving end of Arab violence...do they fight back, what else are they suppose to do? Was the 1948 attack by arab countries provoked by Jews? nope...the fact is, Israel learn a lot about their neighbors that year...you can't sleep on them. If anything....their arab neighbors is the reason why Israel is that way... constant aggression by their neighbors...
Islam isn't racist and there are levels to it...there are moderate islam who aren't really religous and welcome western culture....
there are extremists who will force Sharia Law....which doesn't welcome western culture...

Here's the thing. I'm sure we can all agree that Hamas is a terror organization that does not give a flying fuck about the Palestinian people they claim to represent. Why do I say this?
They knew that what ever they did on October 7th (which, according to some reports was more "successful" than they hoped for), Israel would respond by punishing Gaza. Now, Hamas apparently thought they would only kill a few soldiers, and all their militants would likely die...but, instead, they caught Israel flatfooted and massacred over a thousand and took prisoners. But, again....they must have known Israel would respond with force, with the majority of victims being the civilians who live above the tunnels where the terrorists live in safety. And, of course Hamas build its headquarters and important bases under civilian places like hospitals....
Now....I totally support Israel going into Gaza and killing as many of Hamas as possible. They did something that NOBODY should support. It would have been one thing if they only took out the military targets (which would still see a brutal response), but the fact that they murdered, tortured and raped so many civilians...then took hostages....
All that being said....I think we can all also agree that Israel cannot target civilians. And...I don't think they purposefully have done so. But, at the same time...they don't really seem to care about the mounting death toll.
Now, I don't agree with everything Tlaib said. I think Israel has the right to exist. I am not anti-zionist, but I think we should be able to criticize Israel. And, saying Palestinians are facing a form of apartheid is correct.
The bottom line here...its a fucking mess. How does the cycle of violence end? Even if Israel killed every last militant in Hamas...a new group would likely form from the survivors of this war. As I've said earlier in this thread, the solution is....well.. .fuck, nobody seems to know.
But, lambasting and punishing people who are calling out the massacre of civilians on either side....it just feels wrong.

Tlaib has had plenty of time to explain that she fully supports the continuing existence of Israel, and to articulate the solution (presumably a 2 state solution) she thinks should end the conflict. She hasn't, because when she said "from the river to the sea" she meant it exactly how it was interpreted by Congress.
No, my measure of becoming anti any religion is for them to commit a terror attack on what I consider is my home soil.
Since I have dual citizenship (EU and Canada) any religion who commits multiple terror attacks on my 2 home continents will make me hate them.

I have said it time and again, Hamas created the problem for the Palestinian people...the moment they took the win as the ruling party...democracy was out the door...no more elections....that sounds like out of Vlad Putins...playbook...Some people have the audacity to say Hamas & Israel are both "terrorists"...(franky does)....Hamas was responsible for the multiple suicide bombings in Israel targeting civilians...and people still think what they did is justified...If we're now in the stance that October 7 was justified....We can no longer call Hamas terrorists...from here on out we no longer call out their past actions (suicide bombings etc etc) and future actions (next round of violence) I would bet my house on it...we're back to justifying everything because of "75 years of oppression" (BS if you ask me)...it creates a very dangerous precedent....
