Carney is an economist, been a banker, financial advisor, clearly someone who is smart enough to make good financial decisions for the country. Harper did fuckall in 2008; BofC economic policies (under Mark Carney) and strict banking regulations that prevent predatory lending (drafted by the Chretien/Martin and opposed by Harper when he was Opposition Leader) are what saved Canada in 2008.
