My money would be on the gorilla if it's just 100 average dudes, but 100 trained dudes, I choose the humans.

What difference would it make? Do you think MMA training would make a difference? There is no way a man can choke out a gorilla.
I wasn't thinking MMA dudes, there is no choking out a gorilla. I think more like 100 marines working in tandem.

There will never be a way of knowing, only guesses.

If 100 naked humans are allowed full use of whatever, they'd build weapons/traps etc and use teamwork they'd win. If it was octagon gorilla stands a better chance.

Like James T. Kirk beating the Gorn...

I think most guys would bail when they see 1 guy get get his arm ripped off.
The strength gap between a gorilla and human is strongly in favour of the gorilla.
Not to mention the teeth on them.

You want to fight that, go ahead. I'll watch and laugh.

Interesting fact, there has never been an official record of a gorilla killing a human.

When they feel threatened they tend to bluff charge, but that's about it.

Google it if you don't believe me

Is this just a random 100 men?

Easily pick the gorilla if that’s the case

Agreed... after the gorilla is tired (it could very well spend most of its time running away from 100 men... in the animal kingdom size/numbers mean everything so 100 men may scare it), they could focus on gouging out its eyes. Once it's blind, the fight is over.
I feel like fatigue would be the main factor in this equation. Apparently most wild animals are good with bursts of energy but fatigue quickly.

There are scientists now who've shown this to be true and speculate that this might have been a primary hunting strategy through human evolutionary history ...just keep jogging after the antelope until it gets exhausted and you can get within good striking range.

If only it worked with women. Assuming I had the stamina. Which I don't.
