This bringing back factories and those jobs that come with it of course sounds good, but when you think it through further...the hourly wage in China is around US$3.50 ph. USA minimum wage is US$7.25, although some states higher.
So, using US workers to make the items will double the price of the item, and the job being created pays shit money. Already I see in NY State people begging for workers at fast food places promising $15 ph. That rate would quadruple the cost of the item, all for working for fast food wages. Note health care costs not accounted for.
So if the factories come back, the jobs will suck. And the prices of the items skyrocket.
I heard Lutnick say it will be done by robots. OK, there go a chunk of the shit human jobs. Now just a few robot repair guy jobs.
