I dont remember Obama not following due process or sending people to foreign concentration camps.
Oh, no disagreement he used the law to it's fullest. Including building those cages for kids Trump used.

As for foreign camps....Guantanamo Bay anyone? He sent people there too, after failing on his campaign promise to close it. And please don't say the CIA closed all it's black ops sites under him. Which don't use due process either.

It's just Trump doesn't give a shit if people know it. But the USA has done thus since WW2

You don't get it. He needs the tariff revenue to pass the tax cuts. The deficit hawks are already saying he isn't there.

The Medicare cuts are getting huge pushback. And in many places it's GOP districts with the highest users of it. So ID is not going to come close.
The Medicare cuts will get pushback independent of tariff policy

What are you talking about?
This is false equivalence.
Obama followed due process to deport.
Yes Obama sent terrorists to Guantanamo, which I agree is also unconstitutional even though I have no sympathy for Al-Qaeda or ISIS.
But, Trump is targeting people of hispanic ethnicity, in some cases even citizens, and deporting them without due process to a foreign concentration camp by invoking the AEA, which is an abuse of power, while refusing to comply with court orders.
Obama's deportations of undocumented migrants were legal and constitutional.
Trump's deportations are illegal, fascist and racist.
There is no equivalence between Obama and Trump.

That part was good. However the Nobel Peace Award winner OK`d over 500 drone strikes that killed almost 3800 people. That included over 100 civilians with a bunch of kids in the mix. That part...not so good.

You didn't read their 57 page policy paper on the website, did you? It was all there.
I did.
It had nothing in it except generic verbiage (which is to be expected).
No one here who has accused the liberals of stealing from conservative ideas has been able to show a shred of evidence supporting that assertion.

I agree that he did not deserve the Nobel Peace prize.
They lost a lot of credibility when they chose to award Obama.

Except the terrorists. Bush started the slippery slopes, Trump added the grease. Once you cross the line it becomes easier. Obama just went along with it.

Yes, because as I keep saying, they are trying to cut it to get a tax cut. Because DOGE is a failure. Tariffs are his only way to get cash to appease the House.

Which ultimately means Trump will be keeping tariffs no matter what is offered in the way of a deal. That has been my point. Whatever Canada does Trump will keep Tariffs on.

And btw that bill has been referred to as the Titanic of bills. Looking like it's headed for failure.

its quite clear you keep saying that
annoyingly clear in fact

that is not what you have been arguing
you have been clear that you believe Canada should wait Trump out forcing him to revert back to the status quo

I will clarify. The only thing that will get tariffs removed is pressure from internal forces. So in reality we have to wait until those internal forces apply enough pressure. Or realize they are the new reality and adjust things. Or we can continue to lobby those internal forces as well.

But imo we are not going to convince Trump to drop them because he has every reason to keep them on and no reason to drop them from a Canadian perspective. He doesn't want anything from us. Fentanyl is just an excuse. It's not a real reason, but a work around from Congress.

So we wait, use diplomatic pressure, continue to boycott at the grassroots level, develop new markets, increase pipelines, and let USA business finish this.
