Sadly, and in my opinion, Air Canada has long since lost the meaning of 'Service'. Booking seats with Aeroplan - not the rip-off level but the basic one - is a very difficult thing to do. Want to test it? Try booking seats using Delta's or American Airlines' loyalty programs. You get overwhelmed...

If you want to 'drive' the car, get the stick. That's the fullest experience! The high performance engine acts 'best' with a manual transmission. The shiftable automatic is just so much hype and waste.

In my opinion the only thing worse than the Aeroplan site is the Aeroplan / Air Canada service. They have become the most 'non-caring' airline that I have ever flown - and I fly a lot! They practice distain for their customers -worse than ever. AND THEIR PRICES - Buffalo is certainly looking...

It looks like a class held at 'Fuck University'. Seems like just another example of a cultural thing - do things as a group. Just a little too wierd! Also, I didn't notice the 'pain' issue. Instead I read it as a group-think one where that type of 'moaning' was just the thing to do.

Hotels.com (or Hotels.ca) has provided me with some great rates for some high quality hotels...until my last experience. I booked a hotel in South Beach - one of the Art Deco ones - and it was a complete hole. I complained and they promised to refund 50% of my costs .. still waiting.
