A couple places to park your cash to protect you from this shitstorm, or to buy the dip later on.

Agree, 100%. Normally, I would never advocate timing the market. But these are not normal times. Trump may steer the economy into a recession, and the market could be harmed in ways we don't know yet. If being guaranteed 3% a year is better than hoping for a possible 10'% return at a risk of losing 30-40% helps you sleep better at night, it's a good option. The problem with Cash ETFS is you never know when to get back into the market?? I personally don't believe in timing the market!! It's easier just to stay in the market, with the asset allocation, that suits your risk tolerance etc Ride out the dips, and you'll be rewarded with higher returns long term, as long as you don't need the money in the next 5yrs etc!!
Never invest in this bitcoin crap.Of course,

My health has taken a huge toll from Bitcoin. I've invested for a year already, and the dramatic swings have been really punishing. Mental and physical health and peace of mind > money

I have done well with BRK.B - IE Berkshire Warren Buffet holding company - and it is the one stock I own and will hold onto.If you wish to remain invested, but want to minize risk, I highly recommend brk.b, a holding company run by Warren Buffet. He owns many companies, so it's almost like an ETF, but no management fees. Over the last five years it has outpaced the s&p significantly. It is also great for weathering storms. For example, during this market crash, it has held up extremely well.

It can now be bought in most brokerage accounts in Canadian dollars . I think they added it recentlyIMHO, the problem with BRK-B, is that you have to buy this in US dollars. Unless you have US dollars sitting around, you get killed on the exchange rate, if you have to buy this security in CDN dollars and then have to convert it to USD, You're already 40% behind, right off the bat!!
