Carney knew the keeping the Carbon Tax was a complete non starter with the electorate, obviously axing it by Order in Council within hours of being sworn in.

This single act has removed the largest arrow from Poilievre's quiver of criticisms in the upcoming election.

Would appear weak because axing the tax is one of Pierre's big campaign promises.
Carney appears to be a climate liar and hypocrite. According to
climate warriors in their party carbon emission reduction in the
near term is urgently needed to avert climate catastrophe.
Apparently, winning votes for the Liberals is more important than
saving us from out of control climate change.

He did it by Order in Council.
Whether Pierre was right or not, its taken a huge chunk out of his arsenal.
So doubling down on it saying I told you so won't resonate well.
In other words, it's not really axing the tax.

If Pierre was right all along on this, what else could he be right about to? Sounds like he knew what he's been talking about all this time, while guys like you had no clue.

It is not that Pee Pee was right along it is the masses bought into the nonsense and didn't associate the rebate to the tax. Happily deposited the funds then bought into the fiction. I'm glad it's gone so now Pee Pee has nothing to rant about and I hope he takes away the ridiculous added capital gains which was a stupid move when the electorate was in a pissy mood.

I was with a group of friends a few nights ago and most had written Justin off and were holding their nose voting for PEE PEE but now that has all changed and man for man, voting Carney. It was music to my ears.

I could give two shits who's in his cabinet. Carney has no mandate from the electorate to lead our government. An election should be called immediately. Democracy demands that. If he doesn't then it is incumbent upon Jagmeet Singh to do the right thing and bring this government down.

You can't wait a couple of weeks? LMAO.....will it hurt if Carney ends up flushing Pee Pee down the toilet on election night?

And once again we still have a Minister of Finance who has no financial background. This makes 3 in a row. No wonder our fiscal and economic situation is porous.

I can't wait another day. Already got my call into James Baloney's office. I doubt I'll get a response.

People are given a choice. If the tax was a good as Liberals advertised, there wouldn't be any complaints and backtracking.

There are plenty to rant about and plenty to explain why Carney advised on many of these policies he's most likely going to roll back.

You're friends were ashamed to be liberal voters. Now Carney removes the shame without admitting the faults of Trudeau.

There is no information on whether Pierre was right or not.
Axing the tax could just be an election strategy.
Either way it takes out a huge chunk out of Pierre's arsenal.
