I watched the documentary on this too…it was very well done.

What stood out to me was how there was just something profoundly wrong with Billy McFarland. The guy is a hustler…but it’s just so baked in to who he is that he literally can’t stop himself.

I remember at the end of the film McFarland had been released from prison with conditions that he engage in no further fraudulent activities…which he immediately started breaching the moment he set foot out of jail. The guy is always running some sorta scam.

I’m also sceptical that any of those tickets sales are real. Sounds more like McFarland trying to astro-turf his latest scam imho but whatev…LOL

I have read that he’s approaching golfers basketball players, divers and a bunch of other random types of athletes to do demonstrations and shows because literally every band and artist has turned him down lol

Then you can wait for as long as you need to and be self sufficient to await evacuation from wherever the next debacle of this event is staged.

The festival has already been postponed to an "unknown" date!
In the meantime, he did an IP/trademark deal with an entrepreneur to turn Fyre into a streaming service.

I will give him this much, the name he chose was fire..
Oh well, Burning Man it is.
