In San Jose the bar at Hotel del Rey was the epicentre of indie hot Colombianas. I think they closed. Another alternative is Sportsmens Lodge, you can get a room there and pickup girls from the bar/lounge, it caters to hobbyist so everyone there is looking for the same thing. There are many other options in San Jose, you don't need to go by indie websites. You can get action at strip clubs too, they have rooms with beds. Pantera Rosa (Pink Panther Club) is one option.

My information is a bit dated, but you can find a lot of info online, including a dedicated forum for Costa Rica.
