They had skirmishes over the years, I think Modi is rational and won't let it carry on. Unless they want to clear out some of the population
I don't think it will escalate given the state Pakistan's economy is in. They are practically being bailed out by IMF, in fact there is another bailout payment later this year. If they carry out any attacks on the civilian or military targets of India, India will decimate the Pakistani army establishment, paving way for the creation of independent Balochistan and Sindh provinces. They may try some air raids near the border, but may be thwarted by Indian air defenses which have been placed on high alert. The only ray of hope for Pakistan is to use Proxies. Which will eventually result in another response by India if traced back!
What a shame. I hope they keep stretching up so they can return with the high kicks without pulling a groin. Since we have a war POTUS in the WH, it will be a long wait for the return of the show.
