Wtf is with people that dont know how to internet?

I can't believe the amount of people that don't know who they're talking to and don't know how to look up that information. They don't know how to follow a link or follow basic instructions. They don't know anything about the internet and they expect us to be technical support for them and walk them through the entire process.

What the f*ck?!

I'm selling sex here i'm not technical support.
I'm not one of your grandkids here to teach you how to use the big internet box. Jesus 🙄

Just in the past twenty four hours, someone ask me what "matte" means, like I had 3 heads. One asked me where Belleville was. Another one told me my ad was down because he searched the wrong city and then proceeded to tell me my wishlist was wrong because he couldn't see my address to send it to me 😂 he made this whole big spectacle of sending me a gift that I didn't ask him for and then gave up the minute he didn't understand how it worked... Like I had done something wrong and like the several other people that who've sent me gifts have somehow done the impossible. When I had a website, you would not believe how many people would reach out to me and say my website wasn't working when it was a problem on their end.

All I can say is OPERATOR ERROR! Everything is fine and in working order,
except for the person using the device or the website.

I can't fix that!

I don't know how these people live independently and have jobs.

I would much rather no one send me gifts ever... If it means that I never have to deal with another person who thinks I need to walk then through every step of the process in buying me some cheap gift or signing them up for a website that I only make a few dollars off of and then have to pay taxes on.

Or even better! The people that rudely ask me for a referral, I give them a referral, and then they don't even know what to do with the referral. They want me to stop what i'm doing go search a person I don't know, send them a link and send them a phone number and sometimes a picture... and all they've done is waste my time.

These people are f****** ridiculous. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to advertise, because they're sitting there waiting for the next person to advertise to bother them with their stupid b*******.

The quality of people that message me in the first like hour or two of me advertising are complete trash and it's unfortunate because there could be a few legitimate people that actually want an appointment, but i'm busy talking to goons.

But on the upside, for you anyway. They have to pay you for sex.

What surprises me is that I'm seeing this far more frequently from people who are young. I expect boomers to be luddites, comes with the territory of being old and set in your ways, but at Easter dinner this year I showed my cousins teenaged kids how to watch Netflix shows for free they both looked at me like I was some sort of a techno necromancer casting forbidden spells. I totally blew their minds when I told them that the Brave browser has a built in ad blocker that actually works 🫠

how to watch Netflix shows for free....

I just wait for the DVD release from the library.

While it's generally not possible to watch Netflix shows for free, there are a few ways to access the service without a direct paid subscription. Some mobile carriers offer Netflix access as part of their plans, according to a YouTube video. Additionally, you can find some Netflix titles for free on YouTube and other platforms. Finally, some websites offer free access to Netflix content, but these may be illegal or unreliable.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Mobile Carrier Bundles:
  • Some mobile carriers, like T-Mobile, offer Netflix access as part of certain plans, says a YouTube video.
  • This usually involves activating your Netflix account through your carrier account.
  • The specific details and terms of these offers can vary, so it's important to check with your carrier.

Or you can just go to a free streaming website and skip all that bollocks. Oh and I almost forgot that bit torrent is still a thing

Oh my god that's all I do! They can do it too! They're literally getting a hold of me on a device that has the same capabilities as mine!

It's funny though, because I used to be involved with someone who ran a computer company and was technical support for some pretty prominent businesses and you wouldn't believe how many times he was paid top dollar to just google something and fix it. One time he showed up to an emergency call and the computer just wasn't plugged in.

Most of his job was just googling it, even with a bachelor's degree in business and technology, he still just googled everything.

Don't waste your time with the techno screw ups. 99% of the time they're just too lazy to figure it out themselves because of the mistakes they made. You may want to respond to them by saying "read and follow ALL instructions as listed" OR "tech support consultation starts at $250/hr. Prepayment IS required...& provide e-transfer or paypal account info."
Better yet just ignore them to save yourself the frustration and aggravation.

Thats smart. I am going to start listing my prices for technical support when they ask me to do everything for them 😂

Same, I work in tech so my older relatives are always asking me for computer/phone help. I tell them that whenever they call me with a problem I just Google it and tell them what Google said, and they could just do this themselves. They still won't do it. I think they feel better if the advice comes from an "expert" like me.

I've noticed that a lot of the members of this board epitomize that old stereotype about people over the age of 50 being completely tech-illiterate. Just look at their inability to run a reverse image search and the way a lot of them keep falling for blatantly obvious B&S ads, though you'd think that clients who have been seeing escorts as long as some of them have would have developed a sense of cynicism by now.

But what gets me is the number of new members, who I'm assuming are young, who don't provide links to the ads they're asking about. I may rip on senior board members for being tech-illiterate but at least they can grasp the simple task of copy and pasting a link!

Hell, I saw one asking for a link to a provider's website when it was clearly linked several times in the thread.

I think the best is the reason why so many inquiries about LL ads end up getting posted in the indy provider sub-forum, they can't scroll down a little further. Then again, I've seen ISO threads posted in the Lounge and even the Tech Support section!

If you are providing a product or service you are in business. I am sure you want to encourage people to see you. If you were to have one or two less clients a week it makes a big difference at the end of the year. If you lose one repeat client it could mean a loss of 10 or 15 visits in one year and many more visits over time.

Last year I was looking an episode of CSI - Miami, not even 10 minutes I got an Email - which I checked the following day - to stop downloading off torrents.
When I d/l an Anime I never get anything.

In another country women like you would do the following. Tell this future client to come over right away - if you are free and how much you charge for sex / hour and you will fix it for them. No guarantees.
Or as suggested by others above.

Even here people don't use the search engine.
