On March 16, 2003, with his team leading 120–95 and less than 7 seconds remaining, he was one rebound short of his first career triple double, so he deliberately tossed an inbound pass off his own rim and caught it in attempt to receive credit for a rebound.

I'm guessing this question got buried amongst all the others because I thought for sure some of the regulars would have correctly answered it.
Answer: Billy Harris.
One Billy Harris played for the Maple Leafs from 1955/56 to 1964;65.
The other Billy Harris played for the Maple Leafs from 1981/82 to 1983/84.
Both played their junior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros. The first came into the league before the amateur entry draft. The other was drafted first overall by the NYI in 1972.
