I was having a discussion with someone over the weekend about this. What happens when Trump's term is over. Yes, there are a lot of MAGAts who think he can have a third term, and with this wishy washy pathetic Supreme Court, there is always a possibility. But, I think the odds of him finishing his term are maybe 50/50. I mean, we honestly don't know about the state of his health. It does not appear to be improving. However, I dislike this type of speculation by people who have not given him a medical examination. I mean, he could have some condition that could kill him in a few weeks, or he could be as healthy as they claim.
I think the bigger thing is his mental decline. Drowsy Donnie isn't exactly been firing on all cylinders for the past few months. He says idiotic things (more than usual), and rambles on and on about how he aced a cognitive assessment (which he seems to think had something to to with his IQ, which in itself is worrisome). If he lives to "retire," what will his mental capacity be? And, keep in mind, even if they were to charge him on January 21, 2029, it would probably take at least a year (maybe two) to bring him to trial. Will he have diminished capacity at this point, unable to articulate a defence?
The person I was talking about this said he thought congress would impeach Trump in the wake of these Epstein files. I was like, yeah, they could, but I doubt there are enough GOP senators willing to put country ahead of party that would do that. Now, all that being said, there is a chance that as things really go to shit (like the growing likelihood of a recession or other corruption that will be uncovered), maybe this changes...But, again, I don't think his health will ever allow him to be prosecuted. And, of course the Supreme Court ruled that he has presidential immunity for actions that are directly tied to the office....So, getting him charged, let alone convicting him, will be a major challenge
Bottom line, I highly doubt the man will ever face justice.
