They can't fire Berube cause they just hired him, but they do need some sort of change.

I can see Tree being fired after the Christmas break. After all he created this mess.

Btw I think the last 3 playoffs were their best chances to win the cup and they fucked it up.

Their best chances does not mean they had a good chance.
They haven't even proven they could win two rounds to get to the Conference Final let alone the Cup Final let alone win it.
They just don't have what it takes to win a Game 7. Losing every single one is not bad luck.
It's in their DNA. Their last attempt they had an astounding 4 forwards at 10.9 mill, 11 mill, 11.5 mill, and 13.25 mill.
Plus they traded two 1st round draft picks to load up. If that can't get past 2 rounds nothing will.
To emphasize how ludicrous this is there currently are only 10 forwards in the entire league with a cap hit over 10.8 mill.

What's even more sad is that many fans believe had they beaten Florida then they would've won the cup.

Who would you like to see replace him?
Ted Nolan. I have always been a huge fan of his. His teams are so disciplined with tight forechecking, forcing turnovers, constant pressure. Constant transitions. I love that style of hockey.

The problem is he is 67 and TML is still run by black ball old boys club bullshit.

I think that if the Leafs lose to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, that Berube could be fired?
....he even looks like an asshole. Lol. He reminds me of (like I said in my other post) some old style 70s checkered dress jacket with elbow patches sewn on and smoking a cigar at Maple Leaf Gardens with this mentality of "you gotta be tough to win."

May the hockey gods hear my request for Ted Nolan...... we need some firm yet cool disciplinary native Canadian blood up in here standing behind the bench with a suit on imho. Oooh I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it! Too bad he's 67. I love his style of coaching big-time.

At the time Tavares was signed the panel brought up:

1. How are they going to do the deals for Matthews, Marner, Nylander to make it work. Turns out they didn't make it work.
No cap room to build a viable supporting cast.

2. Goals from top 2 centers the previous 2 seasons Matthews and Kadri was second only to Crosby Malkin. Turns out Matthews Kadri should have been just fine and perhaps the better play. Or even keep Kadri and trade Nylander instead.

3. Since they now had Matthews, Tavares, Kadri they brought up the option of trading Nylander to shore up the defense.
Instead they traded Kadri and the defense never got fixed.

Bottom line you always want good players. Tavares was considered an excellent signing at the time.
It's what they did after that screwed them up.

Did you read the article? They're a couple of hundred tickets under capacity. That's far from 'not a tough ticket'. Check the prices on StubHub if you want a real barometer of their popularity.
Well, if the Leafs keep losing, their attendance, will keep going lower and lower.

Their PP is not just bad. It's dead last bad.
Their PK though is quite good. 6th best.
