This past spring I "bumped into" a former Kingsway Spa gal at COSTCO.
Long story short, she told me behind the scenes, it was a very toxic environment for new girls. She said there's a clique of 3 to 4 women who are absolutely viscous towards the new hires . Basically a condoned environment of bullying.
Allegedly, Jamie turns a blind eye to it b/c the bully's are her friends , and more importantly, the existing business model makes lots of money.
I shrugged it off as as just a disgruntled former employee.....BUT it is interesting to me that this past year, no one new sticks around.
Hello

I always find it necessary to respond to comments like these when I'm able to catch them. Unfortunately, I do miss the occasional drag but I do the best I can.
There is only 1 former Kingsway gal who would have not only been at Costco but also who would speak to a client of ours in public. Most of my staff would rarely shop at any Costco location. They would also be very careful to keep not only their identity private but also those of our clientele so I'm aware of who you are speaking.
I'll assure you there is no "clique" here and if anyone could have been accused of treating new staff poorly, it would have been this person. You can ask Sammi, Nova, Sophie, Liza... there's been many. The only time I turned a blind eye was WITH HER so its pretty insulting this would come from her at all.
I promise you. I've NEVER had anyone leave who hasn't asked to come back. I dont tolerate bullies. The staff I have I would never say anything but absolutely glowing things about. They are an incredible group of women. I'm nothing without them. Every once and a while, there is a snake and I'm sorry I choose to see the good in people first but ANYONE who would approach you in public to make a point of speaking negatively about us instead of just talking about their life is a problem. I hope you see that.
New staff don't always work out for a variety of reasons that has nothing to do with me or us. This job isn't as easy as you might all think. Its hard and it's not for everyone
This sounds like an episode of a reality show. This is business.
Thanks
