Yep same here. Easier for me as we don't have anything in common any more except the family we built. Been divorced from the sex side for over a decade and not interested in leaving to start over at my age. We're so grown apart that the only enquiries where I might be going is from my grown up kids lol.
Due to my work schedule can be unpredictable at times will use the work excuse, or Driving range golf simulator, or gym

No cable tv, and no streaming subs for sports in our household.

So off to take in a sporting event at a bar.
90% of the time when my wife is out on her own at some theatre event or other I am not intersted in.

I check the Sportsnet web site to see what is airing when, just to keep things plausible.
And listen to the Fan on the drive home so I can be sure of who won and the final score

I just dont mention what kind of bar I am going to.
Adult kids are 22 and 26, and still live at home.
