Police seize 'lethal' arsenal on Bay Street
A sniper rifle and several semi-automatic weapons were among the firearms seized by Toronto Police from the upmarket Bay Street apartment of a suspected white supremacist.
Emergency Task Force officers arrested the man after a confrontation with residents in the apartment building at 1001 Bay St., near Wellesley on Thursday night.
Residents of the 40-storey building were notified of the charges by a letter from building management. Many expressed shock that a building described on its website as "the perfect blend of downtown flair and secure, luxury living" could be the site of such a cache of weapons.
