Now I've read about those fish before but never seen a video of one.

I have a question however: why the heck would a fish ever develope the ability to fly? I mean, it can't breathe out here, there's no food for it, and I'd say it makes it more susceptable to being eaten by a bird.....

They do it to escape the hungry mouths of predators.

Flying fish are just about the tastiest morsels that god ever put in the ocean. If you ever visit Barbados you've just got to try it. Sushi places use flying fish roe, but this pales in comparison to the actual fish.

That's what I figured but that's kind of like jumping from the frying pan into the fire lol.....but I guess sea birds are more scarce out in the open ocean.
