News Roundup: Tundra priced, no Ford Rivians, Sportage Hybrid and more
In this week’s news, Kia showed the Sportage hybrid, Ford says no sharing with Rivian, Toyota prices the all-new Tundra, Dodge breaks open the SRT Hellcat Redeye options list and Toyota’s bZ4X EV is revealed.
Toyota's all-new 2022 Tundra pickup will start off at a lower price than the model it replaces thanks to the addition of a 4x2 SR trim truck starting from $44,990. A 4x4 version of that truck, which also gets a less powerful version of the 3.5L TT V6, starts from $48,290. All other trims are 4x4 only and have the full 389 hp and 479 lb-ft version of the V6. More trim levels, including hybrid models, will arrive next year, but for now Toyota will also offer SR5 ($51,990), TRD Sport ($54,090), TRD Off Road ($54,290), Limited ($60,490), Platinum ($72,990), and 1794 Edition ($74,190). The trucks are set to go on sale nationwide on December 3rd.
