The Jewish voters voting Mamdani despite his stance on Israel, and Canadians choosing Carney over Pierre, is people pushing back on far right extremism.
That is within a year of Trump coming to power, so don't count on much for 2028.
They will lose especially with Trump stepping down and others not being able to take his spot or achieve his level of cult status.
PS: Even without the 100+ candidates in Carleton Pierre would have lost. I literally counted those votes, and he would've still fallen short.

Pierre and the Conservatives suffered because Pierre focused on the carbon tax rather than immigration for the election. He was too lame to focus on the actual key issue in Canada, and that's what failed to mobilize votes for him and his party.
You will see this issue come to a much more dramatic head in Canada because of this failure of his.
Also, never forget that Carney debased himself repeatedly in front of Trump, despite running on the opposite, and got NOTHING for it.

Even Pierre knows that while advocating for reduced immigration, that Canada thrives on immigration.
Which is why even if he comes to power, which he won't, he isn't going to make your dreams of zero immigration come true.

I said this to another poster, Canada welcomes about 350-400K permanent residents per year, who will become citizens, predominantly in the GTA and Vancouver in 3 years.
Even with reduced immigration targets the numbers are close.
Additionally you have, already existing temporary residents becoming PRs and then becoming citizens in half the time (as their temporary residency counts towards time spent in Canada).
Not all of them will vote Liberal, but with all the far right wing racism they are facing, most will be compelled to vote for the Liberals, atleast reluctantly.
They are all especially concentrated in the GTA, and GTA is a Liberal stronghold.
So the further right the CPC goes, the further right the US goes, the better the chances for the Liberals.
Any liberal government will further invite more immigration, even if they reduce targets.

The great replacement is a far right conspiracy theory that there is a conscious effort by the ones in power to replace the WHITE population of Canada - not the natural born black, brown, asian or any other ethnicity, but solely the WHITE population of Canada, with non-white immigrants.
This is not the same as bringing in young, immigrants from non-white regions of the world to ensure demographic stability, productivity and future growth.
Canada is a country of immigrants and bringing in qualified people recognizing that we are in demographic decline is the right move.

As immigration marches on, the power of my pre-confederation roots in this country will continue to decline, and so will quality of living, any reprieve in the latter being granted by technological advances discovered by those of White European, and far East Asian genetic stock, which will diminish in effectiveness as these populations decline in the countries they established.
