While that article has a lot of good points, I'll wait for the final report.

The data indicated the fuel was shut of, now its only who and why. While I am uneasy about the location of the switches, the protection and lock switch make a accidental deactivation of 1 engine almost impossible, and both simply impossible. It was deliberate...unless they can be activated by condensation or shorted out.

Fascinating live update blog.

Apparently the voice recorder includes Why did you do that, regarding the fuel switch.

They engines were relit, quite amazingly, but they just ran out of time. If they had 20-30 seconds more they might have made it. 😔

I guess they'll dig into the personal lives of the pilots to see of any problems.

If this happened may be it is possible that one engine went out and in the confusion they turned off the fuel switch to the wrong engine.
We'd have to wait for the report.

Why do they say one engine was relit but both engines were inactive on crash. Did that guy switch it off again? 🤷‍♂️
