Had the feeling this was a murder suicide. I wonder if fuel switches are typically so accessible in planes. I guess the do need to be accessible. I wonder how they are gonna solve this risk? Could they just disable the fuel cutoff at certain critical phases of flight?

The data indicated the fuel was shut of, now its only who and why. While I am uneasy about the location of the switches, the protection and lock switch make a accidental deactivation of 1 engine almost impossible, and both simply impossible. It was deliberate...unless they can be activated by condensation or shorted out.

In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he "did the cut-off", the other pilot replied that he didn't.
