when I was fifteen I wore eyeliner and lipgloss and very stylish sexy clothes it was the era of Madonna and all of us teeny boppers wanted to look as cool and in style as her. The truth is most of us young ones were not that sexually active well in the cliques I hung out with in high school. We had to hide our outfits leaving the house and change into them and go hang out where the other 15 year old. boys were. We were diffinately trying to look attractive to the young boys are age but we were not in any shape way or form looking to attract the 20 year olds and up. Wed call the 30 year olds old perverts when we were 15 so I can totally understand and feel compassion for herif a grown older man took advantage of her.
The reality of it is this when were traumatized we suppress that incident but as we age as we hear other woman talk about sexual abuse or rape no matter how hard we try to forget it hsappened cause we are disgusted that that was sex with someone we never cared about. It surfaces and when it come out of our suppressed memory that's when the counselling starts and that's when we suffer the most and that's when we want to punish the accused for fucking up our lives subconsciencely.
I remember when this song first came out when I was in grade school and many of the girls started dressing and acting like this. I think they even played it during the dances in the gym.
If she concsented at 15 she was not raped, as you said it was the law of the land . If she did not consent, not matter what her age, that is rape. it does sound like she was seduced not raped.
At my school there were several vamps who had fake ids and what not and skipped us boys and went for the men. My best friend married one of them, a man of 33 when she eventually turned 18. Certainly us young boys could not compete.
