Hilarious! Trump called President Obama ignorant and a disaster and said he faked his birth certificate. He did not apoligize for these slanders, yet he is miffed that SNL is poking fun at his obvious inexperience. Disaster? You ain't seen nothin' yet! ( but at least we'll have the comedy)

I've been hearing all sorts of rave reviews about Alec Baldwin's impersonation and this is the first time I've seen it... I must say I'm... underwhelmed. Didn't live up to the hype. Hope he has better ones.

Of course this is not funny to people who like Trump. It rocks him, and by extension, it mocks people who are personallyinvested in liking him. Nobody likes to be mocked.

They haven't had good writing for a long time.

But of course you political view would make it seem unfunny to you. Maybe you would find the earlier ones funny, the ones where they made fun of Hillary too.

Cop out.

I have no predisposition towards Trump but I call a spade a spade. And that clip wasn't that funny. Maybe other ones are but it was, meh. The blonde chick got more laughs.

It "rocks" him. **Chuckles**

If you haven't learned by now Trump doesn't give a shit, you haven't learned your lesson.

Baldwin has Trump's mannerisms down pat.

The skit was not overtly funny, but it pokes fun a Trump's lack of intelligence.

I'm reminded way back when SNL used to parody George W Bush both before he was elected and after. I remember before he was elected, they had this debate set up in the skit and the moderator of the debate was asking questions to Will Ferrel about the Balkans and throwing all the Balkan names and places at him and Ferrel did an amazing job just with his eyes and a very slight facial change that conveyed to the viewer both panic and that Bush / Ferrel didn't have a clue of what he was being asked. Ferrel's response was "Ok, I think that we have to support "the first guy" and try to get rid of "the second guy".

It was very nuanced comedy.

Baldwin's portrayal of Trump reminds me of that a lot.

The point being that Trump is in way over his head now.

I disagree. I think Baldwin's mannerism are way off. I realize it's a parody so you typically exaggerate.
But what's with the whole pouting open mouth?
Trump sneers and scowls if anything.

Not at all. I disagree with guys like Bill Maher but he's a witty and very funny guy. Guys like him brutally mock Trump and his supporters and it's hilarious.

The skit in this video is very dry. It's something one could expect from a high school drama class.
