The alternative facts term seems to apply to Trump and much of his administration, who seem to have been selected for their unwavering support for Trump, their financial worth, their political contributions and how they look supporting Trump on TV. Many of Trump's closest advisors have financial conflicts of interest. This has been widely reported by real journalists from fact-based media, not the "opinion" folks on some outlets or social media.

When pressed during the interview with Chuck Todd to explain why Spicer would "utter a provable falsehood," Conway stated that Spicer was giving "alternative facts." Todd responded, "Look, alternative facts are not facts. They're falsehoods."
