Does anyone have one of these? A buddy of mine swears by them but I'm looking for more information. Specifically, the ones that allow you to stream shows/movies without the need for cable.

I found this one on Amazon.ca: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00I0ABY16...UTF8&colid=3N76SKSIBE3U0&coliid=I4BXRGFRCCQ8A

I'm not an Android user but I'm told there's an iTunes app that works on PCs as well as iPhones.

Anyone have any experience with these things? Are they good? Do they crap out after 6 months? Need recoding?

yeah there way better then paying for cable. I have 2 and you can watch anything, from newest movies to the hard to find stuff, unlimited porn too.
The down side is sometimes its cam video for new releases and then buffering on them sometimes.

Best purchase iv made in years. Just be sure to have unlimited data on your Internet, some movies can stream a few gigs at a time in hd. Get a box that is already loaded with Kodi then its just a matter of plugging it in and connecting to the wifi.

Do you have the model that Keebler Elf has identified or a different type?

I have an older model the MXQ pro. My friend had one and I just bought the exact same model because I was happy with the way his was working. Its down to about just 60 bucks now.

From what I've heard, hell ya! You get everything with a box... if it's on the internet somewhere, it's available. I read one review where the reviewer specifically said he ditched Netflix after getting it.

You don't even need a box, you can install freetelly (kodi) on your computer and connect your computer to a TV or a large monitor.

What you want to check out is how many of the services you might watch are supported by the device. They almost all have Netflix and most have Hulu. But it's impossible to find both Apple TV and Google Play on the same box.

I use a Roku because it seemed to support the largest number of services when I checked, but haven't liked recently.

is having an android box better than having netflix?
There is no comparison really, android box is a cpu for your tv, they run on Google's programs like Jellybean, kitkat, etc.

A better question would be is having an android box with a basic tv better than having a smart tv?

If the cost of a 48" smart tv is the same as having a standard 60" led with an android box I would take the one with an android box as long as it had Kodi installed. With Kodi you can get fairly new movies and some ppv streams like WWE and UFC, the box pays for its self in just a few days if you know how to find ppv streams.

I have one and I would say a few things

1) it is not as user friendly as I would like. For example I connected it via ethernet and struggled to get it to work because the M8S default was for wi fi.

2) When choosinga movie the picture quality can vary, sometimes you have to try multiple links till you find one that works, sometimes there is a lot of lag, sometimes the sound and picture are not synched up.

3) It may take some time for you to find things for example..... lets say you want to watch a TV show...... you have to search for it after choosing an APP and if you don't have a keyboard it is slow to type in the name only to find the app doesnt have the show

But it was cheap so what do you expect.

BOOBS!!!!
It's funny that people are selling this "free" program. But I guess people don't want to invest the time for learning.
