Another Ashley Smith, Fifth Estate

The 5th Estate tonight will report on the case of Ashley Smith and her treatment at the hands of Correction Canada. The new information interviews and video will be a real eye opener. On top of that is the new revelations of there being other inmates on the same merry-go-round.

If the name Ashley Smith doesn't ring a bell, she killed herself in a cell while staff member watch her do it.

On October 19, 2007 at the Grand Valley Institution for Women in Ontario. She was from Moncton, New Brunswick and initially was incarcerated on juvenile delinquency charges but then continued to commit multiple offenses while incarcerated.
