Has anybody have experience with Primus Tel, home phone or other wise. Just wondering about their reliablity and service levels etc.

Also I am thinking of going for unlimited long distance Can/USA and am still researching various options. I thought somebody out there must have an unlimited plan I can pay as you go type thing like cell phones but not. If you know off please post.

I like this deal linked below though because you can have two numbers with ident-a-ring. That would be usefull for the application I want to use this phone(s) for. The only thing I am concerned about is reception. Has anybody had any experience that they can comment on regarding long-distance reception with this phone or same type of phone offered in the link below? If I understand it properly this offer is for a viop type phone no? Or is same as a Rogers phone... over a cable wire? It's very important because I plan on using these phones for a home business and need perfect reception for when discussing biz on phone.

Nothing worse then closing a deal on the phone and the prospect can't hear you or just every second word you say. That just don't work out if you know what I mean.

Thanks in advance for any comments etc.

fcibroadband.com has similar or the same plans as primus. I never went with primus but some of the home agents on contractxchange use it pretty much almost all the same out there. you work with one til they drive you nuts and move to the next company in line.

Thanks. What about reception or line quality though? I need perfect voice quality no drop calls etc.

Any reviews?

P.S. Btw...

To any and all businesses out there. While I will be setting up a home biz that I believe will keep me busy 6 to 8 hrs a day. I still have hours/time/energy/etc to pursue other opportunities if you are seeking at rep that can work from home. No reason why I can`t multi-task and work a couple things going on at same time.

Glad to forward my resume if requested.

Primus not compatible with some home security systems. Check with your monitoring company

I find the system good as bell. I am a domestic user not business. The savings between Bell and Primus (voip) are significant.

Been with Primus TBB over 3 yrs... besides the few outages past 2 years, things have been smooth so far.

Got rid of Bell land line ( kept Sympatico on Dry DSL) and signed up for the $29.95 Unlimited N.America LD pkg

You can always sign up for TBB and try it along with your landline. If your happy with it..keep it. Thats what I did before i pulled the plug on Bell.

If you do end up switching to any VOIP provider, I highly suggest to get a UPS device so you can dump your cable/dsl modem, your VOIP ATA adapter and a cordless phone on the UPS to ensure some phone usage during a power outage.
