I get a call almost every weekday evening and on the other end of the phone is a man with an indian sounding voice asking me if my home needs duct-cleaning services. Anyone else been getting these calls on an almost daily basis?

Yes, constantly and I'm in the no call list. Lately im getting them on my cell too.I get a call almost every weekday evening and on the other end of the phone is a man with an indian sounding voice asking me if my home needs duct-cleaning services. Anyone else been getting these calls on an almost daily basis?
I think everyone's been called by those guys at some time. I wonder how much of a negative effect they've been having on the legit air duct cleaning companies. I also cancelled by land line when I got tired of paying Bell just to have "Sean" from India call me every evening at the dinner hour for air duct cleaning or telling me that my computer is infected with a virus.I used to get them all the time, until I cancelled my landline. I get almost no telemarketers on my cell phone.
I get the odd robo call on my cell phone that's usually a free cruise to Jamaica.
Yep - land line all the time.
They must work because they keep persisting - you pick up - say hello - it then connects to the next rep. poor sound poor voice - random numbers - ridiculous really but they persist.
When I answer now I make no sound - if it really someone, they will then say hello?
Starting to get them on my cell now.

They started calling my cell phone because I have it posted and apparently making it public invites them to call. I also just kindly say "Sorry I don't speak English"....They always say oh so sorry and hang up.......
Makes me wonder how these air duct guys get paid because they never give an actual company name.They drive me crazy.....Any takers on making an appointment to fake location and we meet the company guys there. WE THEN DETAINE THEM UNTIL THE COPS SHOW UP.
Recently I have been getting a few calls telling me my computer is infected with a virus too. So annoying. But at least those calls have occurred with far less frequency than the duct cleaning calls. I got a couple calls regarding a computer virus a couple weeks ago though. That was the first time I got that call. Hopefully I wont hear from them again. I tell duct cleaners I have electric heat, carpet cleaners I have hardwood, roofers just had it done, vacuum salesmen that I have dirt floors and then hang up on all of them. One I said I was on the doo not call list and they hung up rather quickly.
I tell them I'm robbing the place, but I'll leave a message. Or I put on my Best Appu voice and start asking them how my cousin in Mumbai is doing and is the lepper colony I sponsor still there or did it fall apart. Anything that comes to mind. One Saturday morning I answered the door to 2 50s Jehovas. In my robe and best straight face I said, "hey great, door to door hookers. You're a little older than I usually like but a couple of drinks and I'll get over it." They left rather abruptly without even as much as a good morning.

I get a few of those duct cleaning calls a year and I'm on the No Call list as well. I got a call at 8:45pm for an alarm system yesterday too. I was all nice on the phone, pretended to be interested, asked for a contact number then told him I was going to report them for ignoring the No Call List.
