Walmart has their own house brand, same active ingredient. Tried the Name brand stuff for awhile years ago when it was by prescription only ( fugging expensive) there was only one strength then so can't comment on any differences.
Major irony was a few years after using the stuff I got cancer and lost all my hair to chemo, clearly it was money well wasted. most grew back later, maybe the rogaine helped, not sure.

any other feedback!Used it a while with high hopes - watched for results with a microscope day after day - hoping a brand new thick patch of a fleece would go on my bare top. Nothing grew. Maybe, and only maybe a few lone, tiny, very thin weak follicles did sprout. But not enough to cover a whole little spot.
The hairs that might've grown (could've been there before I applied it, so not sure) were so thin, weak and not thick dark hairs like the rest of my dark hair, but very light, thin and frail hairs that were TINY. So no point spending half a 100 bucks for these results.
I'm surprised it even stayed on the market for as long as it did.
My brother used it to. Still using it. I don't know for the heck of me, why though. Its a pure waste of cash. Doesn't work!

did you guys use the %5 or the 2%, the 2% is fairly ineffective. Also, I am looking to maintain rather than grow back the hair. also this must have been a while back as early on it was expensive, but now you could get it for fairly cheap. Thanks and keep posting!
