Anyone still carry a hard briefcase?

I am officially out of date. I still carry a Pendragon briefcase which the lawyers on the board may know about. Oops I have given away my identity.
Not if it's a quality, well designed vintage (not just any old though) or brand new piece. I also find briefcases mysterious-I always wonder what's in them. Maybe I watched Bond movies too much?
I might start carrying my black hard leather briefcase again, but am undecided. I purchased this soft case which was custom made, but I don't like the patch underneath the lock. There's about a half inch extra leather under the lock that looks out of proportion to me.
I am looking for a hard Samsonite briefcase like this for my laptop. I will be carrying it to the car and then inside to my office or home. It looks OK to me but it does not have to be fashionable. It just has to protect the contents of information in the laptop itself.
According to Kevin O'Leary, Samsonite went bankrupt and the new owners that bought it is reintroducing the brand soon with a new line of products. I hope they make a retro 70s - 80s hard briefcase.

Samsonite hard briefcases are now considered vintage and worth good money, check out eBay.

I know a fair number of people who have similar although perhaps not as nice soft cases.I purchased this soft case which was custom made,
I have the large samsonite, black. I didn't know that they are a wanted item on ebay. I should empty the old papers in it and cast it off.
I have a very handsome burgundy leather Façonnable briefcase with two separate compartments for my MacBook and the other for whatever else I need.
However, I don't carry it with the handles but rather the shoulder strap that I throw across my chest and the case usually sits more on the back than on the side.
I get many compliments on it.

I usually have a backpack on. Makes it harder for someone to stab me in the back. Hee, hee, hee.
The ladies usually throw these things across their bum. Makes it harder to pinch their bums.
