Apple ipod dock?

Has anyone had problems with there ipod dock?

I have mine connected to my stereo and a few months back when I connected my ipod I had crystal clear sound coming from my stereo speakers.

Now, I get all this friggin' static and the hiss when I plug ipod into the dock.

This is an official ipod dock from Apple not the generic brands.

At first, I thought it was my ipod, but then I plugged somone else's in and I get the same friggin' problem.

Anyone ever encounter this?

I doubt your dock is the cluprit here. Try changing the cable from dock to preamp. I'll bet if you wiggle the cable around (while the iPod is playing) you'll get all kinds of static sounds. (Turn volume to low before you try this.)

I'll agree with the above statement, as of yet I have yet to have a problem with mine.
