I have a pocket watch made in Europe in 1914 with no name on it just a number. I will send pic in anyone can identify maker.

Here is what I know from watching the Antiques Roadshow. Around the turn of the century it was common for jewelers to make their own watch cases and buy the movements from watchmakers. So, you may have a movement made by a well known watchmaker inside a case made by the local jeweler.

Quite likely it is worth scrap gold.If it is a signed piece and in good shape it may have collector value ,however prior to the first World War ,there were Millions of these in circulation ,wristwatches became fashionable after.Send me a pic Front(Dial side) and back(open movement if possible) ,and I'll get back to you.
