I'm often reluctant to say things that could narrow down who I might be by other horndogs that might recognize me. But in this case, the man I am going to speak about had thousands and thousands of students. And mostly as a tribute to the man, and to somehow perhaps pass on the benefit of his legacy I will share this with my TERB brethren.
But your suggestion that I "do some research" on JFK and Bay of Pigs... lol. I learned more about that while I was still in short pants than you have since Twitter became X.
My Grade 7-8,9-10-11-12 metal shop teacher Mr. Centa was widely recognized as one of the world's leading experts on the JFK assassination. He wrote an academic paper on it in university in 1963 and never stopped learning. (Unlike you). He passed at 84 in 2020.
I visited him almost 20 years after my last class and he remembered me, my dad, how we perfected my knurling skills on the lathe, how I adjusted the Brown Boggs foot shear to finally fix a glitch no one (including him) could figure out. And more. He was still sharper than any tool in his shop! Humble, quiet and modest. There was something so simple and genuine about Mr Centa that everyone had respect and expressed unusual affection for high school kids. Even the rough kids that were the troublemakers that ended up in jail or worse.
Obituary Anton "Tony" Centa. 1936-2020
Read some of the tributes to him here and learn what it is like to have your opinions
respected, not mocked. Many of us went on to have extraordinary lives as a result of his influence. One condolence below notes he was his student in 1963 and started his interest in 1964. Long before your Twitter research.

"In November of 2023, I attended a JFK Assassination 60th Anniversary Symposium in Pittsburgh at Duquesne University's Wecht Institute of Forensic Science & Law (named after Cyril H. Wecht, M.D., J.D.). Tony had mentioned that he called Dr. Wecht once who was kind enough to answer Tony's questions. Tony inspired my interest in the case. I recently assisted in the proof-reading of a new book on the case, The JFK Chokeholds, co-authored by James Di Eugenio (author, researcher & consultant to Oliver Stone), Prof. Paul Bleau from Quebec, Andrew Iler, a lawyer from Hamilton, Ontario, and two other lawyers from the States, Matt Crumpton and Mark Adamczyk."
"Mr. Centa exemplified what a dedicated educator should be. An excellent teacher, kind family man and so full of passion for his interest in the JFK assassination, sharing his theories with all interested in his wonderful presentations ~ I will never forget those highlights in high school. RIP"
"From a teacher who learned much about the JFK case from Tony. My former students still speak of his presentations, and I attended the JFK symposium at Laurentian U. in 1993. Thank you, Tony! RIP
"Tony was my shop teacher at RHHS in 1963. In1964, I became very interested in the Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories that were then starting to circulate. Tony sponsored me in an independent study program on the assassination. He was extremely kind and taught me a lot about defending a point of view, a skill that proved important in later life. I later became a journalist "
I visted him around the time that more Classified documents were released and he was poring over them all. And not like some ranting know it all politically brainwashed nutjob. Like a calm detective and intelligence analyst. He was sharper at 80 than you have ever been. I say this simply by assessing your writing, thinking and communication skills. NOT based on your politics. And I would not trust your "research" on very much except the taste of Donald Trump's 'taint.
Mr Centa made a JFK presentation every year to the students in the auditorium. It was completely voluntary to attend and it was often after school hours. So attendance wasn't an excuse to cut a class. And every presentation was
packed. Standing room only! Many of us would sit through two presentations. And it was long before any clickbaity shit you chumps fall for now. Simple slides and his voice. Oh yeah, and back then it was a big thing to have such a high quality copy of the Zapruder film.
Every year there was an update and evolving minor changes to his opinions and theory. And
that was the lesson he wanted to teach the most. That even when you think you know something, keep you mind open and ego aside to be changed 180 degrees if the new information is reliable and compelling.
I have to say, and have said many times to employees, clients, co-workers and other I used to present to in various fields, the most important two most important things I learned in high school was from my shop teacher.
1. Don't wear gloves, rings or necklaces near, and keep your hands away from spinning shit! Lathes, saw blades, drill bits, pulleys etc will deglove your finger rip your, hand or arm off before your eyes even send the image to your optic nerve.
2. Keep an open mind, sharp eye and tight lips. Closed minds and eyes are for the ignorant. Flapping lips are for the stupid.
Ok... I'm done flapping my lips and going to go try to shut down my mind and close my eyes to get some sleep!
I hope some of this might sink in and help someone who is just so damn certain of who killed JFK or JR!
