After posting on Terb for virus software and getting a lot of replies, I have gotten rid of Norton and McAfee and switched to free Avast. No problems at all. And it stays out of the way, just how I like it.

Is that the problem where it says it's out of date - even right after an update? I had that problem on one comuters with 8.0. The latest version is 8.0.173. I had to completely uninstall, then download and re-install. Funny thing is that my other two systems were not affected by the same problem.

Avira free

I have used Avira for the last 2 weeks.

A recent upgrade from McAfee fucked up my PC so I dumped it.
