Barrie, Orillia Hotels (non-hobbying)

Hey,

Want to check out Barrie, Orillia, Muskoka region for a mini-vacation with the family. Can anyone recommend any clean, safe hotels (for non-hobbying purposes of course )?

What is your budget?

I highly recommend Port Cunnington Lodge on Lake of Bays. Not cheap.

Or Deerhurst in Huntsville.

In Orillia, there are a number of "brand" name motels. But if I was taking the family, there is a motel on Creighton Street in Ramara, just south of the First. Not a great motel, but there is a park across the road (local access only, not a lot of traffic) so the kids can play/swim. Also, very short drive to rent a boat. Close to the Casino. Check to see if anything is playing at the Orillia Opera House.
