Best Cigar and alcohol combo?

I have never smoked as many cigars as I have this summer thanks to COVID, and you can't smoke a cigar without something to enhance the experience.

My top combo?

Nikka whiskey from the barrel & an Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Maestro

The Nikka will cut through any smoke as it is very potent and the cigar really depends on your humidor even a good cigar can die in a poorly maintained humidor but when everything is just right this is a great combo.

Oh, the combinations!

Almost any Islay, or serious bourbon (I recently bought a few Wellers antiques), with a moderate to medium bodied stick is heaven for 1 to 2 hours.

I'm not happy living on my own, but indulging with this combo is something I can't imagine too many partners tolerating indoors. The glass is always 2 fingers full!

Cohiba with a dram or two of Kilbeggan single grain Irish Whiskey. It's sweeter than Scot single malt but it has a lovely finish and it's cheaper.

I know I know. Lots of people get away with it. Sorry for the lecture.
However I am old enough to have watched George Burns and his cigar. It was basically a prop. Barely touched it to his lips. As for boozing, not likely. He wasn't Dean Martin.
Winston Churchill was another one. Cigar was mainly a prop. One of his servants or somebody who mixed his drinks said the Scotch was completely watered down.
I used to smoke em down to the nub. Never left a bottle of scotch unfinished. There is a difference.

I like any cigar that has a dark maduro leaf and although espresso goes well with it, a good alcoholic drink that goes well with a cigar is the Godfather which is half scotch of your choice and half amaretto (I prefer Disoronno) on ice.

I only smoke in a warm zone myself, I believe the cold air getting sucked into the cigar really changes everything. Probably why a Cuban tastes better in Cuba

Bailey's is great in espresso but not good with a cigar. I prefer Frangelico to Disarrono, Strega also goes well.
