It doesn't include me either.

I've been stiffed four times by clients, two of those times I took them to court and only ended up with half my money. The other half I gave to my lawyer.

The other two I didn't threaten but I did elude to it by chuckling obnoxiously and saying NO PROBLEM with a shit eating grin. I received payment with two days in both instinces.

You see Fugi sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. All of the assholes that screwed me over had full intensions of doing so right from the begining.

I've had a couple clients over the years call me in advance to tell me that they would be late paying because of circumstances beyond their control. I have no problem with this whatsoever because I too have been in the same boat. But when someone (dirtbag) intentionally trys to take food off my table, my gloves come off without a second thought.

Honourable business men from all walks of life occasionally have to resort to some sort of street justice in order to keep the lights on; something that the lily-white cubicle bound 9-5'ers will never understand.

Ok - a serious question. How does someone go about joining the HA? Can you just walk up and say "can I join?" Do you have to be nominated? I've broken bread with a couple of members, can they vouch for me? Seriously, enquiring minds would like to know.

If by HA, you mean Hells Accountants then please contact the Ontario Institute.

We are heavily into Gang Audits.

So Fuji are you still claiming you speak for everyone despite the fact that you've been "put into your place".
Good luck with your extortionist ways (you yourself admit to using threats of violence to settle business disputes), and good luck with your belief that those ways are supported by the average Candian. They're not.

No doubt the police and the justice system aren't perfect, but that does not mean the average Canadian wants to see thugs using violence to settle business disputes.

Extortion is a crime in this country for a reason.

I am speaking for those of us who do not believe in resolving civil/business disputes with violence or threats of it.

That doesn't include you?

It certainly does include the vast majority of Canadians, and, apparently the majority around here too.
It doesn't include me either.
Your moral majority is not a majority. And I think HA has more morals.

I don't like unions either, but that's how unionized shops work. So what's your gripe here really?

You've shown that the system works. The guy got suspended, investigated, and now charged. You've pointed out that unions make that a long and slow process, but at the end of the day, this guy was taken off the street and facing a serious investigation, subsequently, charged with a crime.

Of course when the HA's get their fair day in court and LOSE, and wind up declared a criminal organization, convicted of extortion, you think that's unfair.

No, you are wrong. An average joe at any unionized shop gets the same treatment: Suspension while under investigation and then terminated if the allegations prove to have merit.

So I will point out again that this has NOTHING to do with the topic of this thread. You continue to try and defend the HA by pointing out utterly unrelated things you think are wrong somehwere else.
Well I work in a unionized shop - IBT to be specific - and if one of us gets suspended/fired you don't get paid while you're out of work. If you get reinstated you may get the lost pay back (depends on circumstances) but you don't get to sit at home collecting your pay like the cops do while you wait to see how the grievance plays out.
